$20/lb for your Suri Blanket Fleeces
We are embarking on textile production from suri fleeces. We have partnered with an amazing mill in western Canada where we can get fine suri yarns made for weaving and we are producing 60inch wide fabrics from our suri fleeces. We will gladly buy back your suri fleeces (from animals we sell you) so that you don’t end up with bags of fleeces in your barn. From experience, we know that it is often overwhelming to figure out what to do with all that fleece in the early years ... so let us help you.
Integrity
We have both homozygous suris and heterozygous suris in our herd. Since heterozygous suri females can be bred to homozygous suri males to produce suri offspring, some breeders continue to produce heterozygous suris by mating huacaya females to homozygous suri males. We have abandoned this practice in order to concentrate on homozygous suris only. We always explain to our customers if the animal they are interested in purchasing is homozygous or heterozygous. We also price our animals accordingly. If someone is interested in animals for fibre only, we won’t try to sell them expensive homozygous breeding stock. We offer the appropriate animals to the appropriate buyers. We are also excited to announce that we have added brand new (white) genetics to our herd from an elite suri farm in the US.
